Local weddings are a treat for me and local to me is Loch Lomond and it’s surrounding areas. Growing up in this area has given me a beautiful advantage for working in this area and this wedding was an utter dream to shoot. Todays wedding was set in Dumbarton around 10 miles away from Loch Lomond so a lovely little local wedding for me to start my wedding season off.
Rebecca and Chris had been planning their big day for over two years and boy did they put on a spectacular day. Set at the Dumbuck country house hotel they certainly made their stamp with Rebecca’s dad hand making all the wooden items such as a magnificent table plan, table centre pieces, a donut wall and letter box to name a few. There were loads of extra little details scattered around the venue making their vision come to life.
After the ceremony we drove to Overtoun house, this is an 19th century country house and estate situated on a hill over looking the river Clyde, Rebecca used to play here as a child and lives not far from here so what better place to go and have personal images taken. The bridge and grounds surrounding this majestic property are beautiful and we put these to good use.
As you will see from the images they both had a beautiful day. Rebecca emailed me with these words about their images: “I literally have no words… We love them more than i can even explain, such amazing memories for us to have. You have made it really hard for us to pick images for our album, what a wonderful position to be in”.
