I am so excited for weddings with more numbers to

I am so excited for weddings with more numbers to return. It’s been a long road for my couples who have been waiting 13 months for the lift in restrictions to happen.

The new road map offers new hope for normality to return fairly quickly and for weddings to resume to as near to normal as possible.

I love this image above with the sun rays streaming in from the window above. We’re heading in the right direction now folks and the sun is breaking through giving us a glimmer of what’s to come in the next few weeks.

Roll on wedding season I cannot wait.

The beginning of April has been full with enquirie

The beginning of April has been full with enquiries, bookings, photographing a wedding and getting to deliver a beautiful gallery of wedding images to Sandra and Mark, who’s wedding I photographed three weeks ago marking my first wedding of the year.

Finally after a year of non stop worry I finally felt that flutter of excitement looking towards the wedding season approaching. Weddings have changed a lot over this past year and they are not anything like the previous years but speaking to couples who are excited again about there up coming wedding has given me the wedding buzz again.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Morton who married on Friday at One Devonshire gardens with just 5 people present. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony. The weather was utterly fantastic which meant we got some beautiful images outside.

One whole year of lockdown, and what a year it has

One whole year of lockdown, and what a year it has been. Loads of ups and downs, restrictions, cancellations, reschedules, mask wearing, hand sanitising, home schooling, micro weddings, Elopements, and many many more.

When we went into lockdown I did not think for one second that we would still be in lockdown 1 year later, yet here we are!

Here is a wee video of what I got up to last year, some engagement sessions, door step portraits, graduation portraits, 5 micro weddings and a wee work trip to glencoe. All socially distanced and within the restrictions.

I love photographing a beautiful bridal portrait like this one above with Naomi. She was such a chilled out and beautiful bride, who was ready far too early so we had plenty of time to take beautiful portraits like above and many more.

I can’t wait to get back to photographing moments like this. Let hope the wedding industry opens back up soon.
