Mr and Mrs Cavan

This year has been crazy busy and i have not blogged any of my 2018 weddings yet! So to get started i am blogging my latest wedding of the wonderful Nicole and Anton who married in july 2018 at the wonderful Rosslea hall hotel.

The rosslea hall hotel is a beautiful Victorian country house set in the gorgeous village of Rhu. A stunning wedding venue with beautiful grounds overlooking the firth of Clyde near Helensburgh. A truly magical venue to host such an important day.

Nicole and Anton married at this beautiful venue in July and the weather did not disappoint! With their plans of having an out door ceremony come to life on the garden lawn they were both absolutely delighted.

Morning preparations were in full swing when I arrived with hair and make up working away on the gorgeous bridesmaids. As usual I took the beautiful wedding gown and all personal wedding items down stairs to photograph and document whilst the hustle and bustle of hair and make up work their magic making these beautiful girls picture perfect. I also photograph the gorgeous venue all dressed for the occasion.

I then moved onto photographing gorgeous Nicole, firstly having Nicole look at her gorgeous gown that she will be wearing in just a few hours and back up stairs for hair and make up. These are my favourite points of the morning to photograph.

Moving quickly on and Anton arrived with his best man and we went for a walk to capture some handsome images of these dapper men before the guests start to arrive.

Nicole and her bridesmaids had now moved into the honeymoon suit to get dressed and what a beautiful spacious room this is. The girls done a fabulous job getting Nicole into her gown and then it was time for the big reveal to dad! I love this moment and Nicole’s dad was absolutely blown away, tissues at the ready!

We have had an awesome summer this year, couples really landed lucky with the weather and Nicole and Anton were delighted to have their ceremony outside. As the guests were seated the sun shone so bright, lovely fluffy clouds emerged and Nicole stood at the top of the stairs looking absolutely radiant ready to walk down the aisle to meet her true love. Antons face lit up when he turned around and the couple were finally together ready to say their vows. With some lovely words from Nicole’s sister and some funny stories from their friend the ceremony certainly had a personal touch and echoed their love for one another.

After the ceremony we walked along to the lighthouse to capture some beautiful personal images of the newly weds, with beautiful white clouds, pure blue sky and crystal clear water this was the perfect back drop. We spent around 20 minutes before walking back for some group shots. Then a large group image of all guests on the lawn before being seated for their wedding breakfast.

After the meal we went back out to capture some more personal images of the gorgeous couple before their first dance as a married couple. Again walking down to the front looking over the firth and Clyde to do some funny images of Nicole and Anton cat walking and bumping hips and then some natural moments before I left them both to have a few minutes alone to soak in the day that has flown past us all. The first dance was beautiful as they danced and swayed surrounded by their nearest and dearest to their favourite song, the perfect way to start the evening celebrations and the perfect time for me to Finnish up for the day.

The rosslea hall hotel will hold their next wedding fair on the 28th of October 2018 and I will be there Exhibiting. This is a free event where you can meet the wedding team, see the gorgeous venue dressed and meet all the wedding suppliers on the day. It’s a fabulous afternoon and not to be missed.
